(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Jan. 4, 2011—Longtime worship leader Ryan Romeo releases his second album, a pop-rock project titled the Everyone Shine EP, available now via select digital music outlets.
The follow-up to Ryan Romeo Band’s January 2010 God of Our Fire EP, this latest project boasts guest production by Steven Tracy of The Myriad. The record also features driving rhythms, showcased on songs like album opener “Great God of Mystery,” coupled with infectious melodies as displayed on title track “Everyone Shine.” Lyrically, the EP is saturated with songs about God and His bride, the Church.
Romeo comments, “The Everyone Shine EP tells the love story between this mysterious, untouchable God and the bedraggled focus of his love and affection: the Church. We hope that through these songs, listeners will catch a glimpse of this love and join us in walking into a deeper relationship with Him.”
Friend of Romeo, David Crowder, whose group David Crowder Band was recently nominated for a GRAMMY Award, remarks, “We’ve known Ryan for a number of years now. Little did we know that he was hidden away working on such gems as these songs collected on this EP. There is a charm to this thing in the rawness of the lyric and production that makes me want to hear more.”
The Everyone Shine EP released Dec. 10 and can be purchased at iTunes, amazon.com and ryanromeo.com. For more information, visit www.ryanromeo.com or www.myspace.com/ryanromeomusic.
Based in Tucson, Ariz., the Ryan Romeo Band consists of Ryan Romeo (lead vocals, guitar, xylophone), Chris Giambelluca (vocals, bass, piano), Bryce Dunbar (drums), Tom Romeo (vocals, guitar), and Kevin Unwin (guitar). The group formed when worship leader Ryan Romeo teamed up with Chris Giambelluca to commit the songs he had written and played for more than ten years in local churches to tape. The resulting God of Our Fire EP released early 2010. The band continues to perform regularly across the Southwest and will appear at RAGE Music Festival in Phoenix this month.
